Hi community,
another week, another update to our testing branch. We updated Mesa to v17.2 series, which includes new drivers and other goodies, updated some of our kernels, added latest KDE Frameworks v5.38 plus having GCC v7.2 as our latest compiler. If you have difficulties to update, please install additional multilib packages of gcc first, so a full upgrade is possible.
With this update, however, we also removed the support of OpenRC. For all users who had used that init-system we recommend to either convert back to systemd or try the new project Artix Linux, which is focused on OpenRC only and is also based on Arch Linux. They already have great migration documentations.
Please test and give us feedback as usual

https://systemd-free.org > Important updateI moved all my arch-openrc and manjaro-openrc installations to artix and they all work pretty well.
The information provided in this site, where it pertains to the Arch ecosystem, has become deprecated with the birth of a new Arch-derivative distro: Artix, the result of the joint efforts of the people behind Arch-OpenRC and Manjaro-OpenRC. Despite being still in beta, it's at least as stable and usable as the former projects. Its repositories override the official Arch ones and contain only systemd-free packages. It uses OpenRC as its default init system with support for s6 and runit.
Derzeit noch bei mir am laufen:

Jein, bin jetzt wieder bei SystemD und ich werde unter Manjaro bzw. Arch auch nicht mehr zu OpenRC wechseln.
Grüße
