Hallo Zusammen, wenn ich meinen PC mit dem neuen Kernel 4.9.0. versuche zu starten blinkt nur oben links der Cursor nach dem ich beim Grub bestätigt habe damit zu starten (Default). Folgende Meldungen habe ich mit dmesg gefunden. Kann damit jemand was anfangen? Alternativ nutze ich Kernel 4.8.14-1-MANJARO mit dem es keine Problem gibt und auch Spiele funktionieren.

Nvidiatreiber = video-nvidia-340xx , Grafikkarte = Nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX

Achso, ich bin ein Newbee bez. Linux somit weißt mich bitte auf mögliche Fehler oder ähnliches hin. Außerdem nennt mir lieber etwas ausführlicher was ich zur Problemlösung tun sollte. ;-)

Was sagt

folgendes Output bekomme ich bei dem Befehl:

Sind auch die nvidia addons installiert?

@GypsyWolf , den Kernel habe ich bisher über den Manjaro Settings Manager (GUI) installiert), Addons von Nvidia kenne ich nicht so das diese vermutlich nicht installiert sind.

Wechsle mal probehalber auf unstable:

Keine Sorge; diese Methode ist nur temporär.

Mit addons wird nvidia-settings gemeint gewesen sein.

Gewöhne dir bitte an, Terminalausgaben im Codeblock zu posten.

Nachtrag:

mein fehler. Mache das auf tty. Also den Kernel booten, nicht anmelden auf tty wechseln und den Zweig umstellen.

Hallöchen liebe Helfer,

pünktlich zu Fest gab es heute ja noch vom Manjaro Team ein Update unter anderen auch für Nvidia und siehe da alles ist gut geworden.

So dann wünsche ich frohe Weihnachtstage und bis zur nächsten Herausforderung...

Da waren wir ja auf der richtigen Spur und eine Wechsel des Zweigs hätte zum Erfolg geführt.
